James T. Perry, Jr. was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2004, Arkansas in 2010, and New Mexico in 2013. Mr. Perry studied at Sam Houston State University (B.A., 1997) and South Texas College of Law (J.D., 2004). Mr. Perry is certified in Oil, Gas, and Mineral Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and he presently serves on the advisory board of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in the area of Oil, Gas, and Mineral Law. From 2012 through 2017, he served as adjunct faculty of the South Texas College of Law, where he taught a two-hour elective course on the subject of Texas Title Examination, focusing on Oil, Gas, and Mineral Examination.
Mr. Perry’s memberships include the State Bar of Texas; the State Bar of Arkansas; the State Bar of New Mexico; the Oil, Gas, and Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas; Associate Member of the Houston Association of Petroleum Landmen; West Houston Association of Petroleum Landmen; Permian Basin Landmen’s Association; Houston Bar Association; and Associate Member of the Houston Geological Society.
